What is Venus Viva™ MD?
When it comes to skin resurfacing, CO2 lasers used to be the frontrunner, but these procedures also came with a lot of pain and downtime that could last several weeks, if not longer (since they essentially remove the top layer of your skin). How it works
Venus Viva™ MD skin resurfacing treatments work with tiny pins that safely deliver heat (via NanoFractional Radio Frequency) through the skin’s surface. WHO IS COSMELAN BEST FOR?
Cosmelan is best for people concerned with pigmentation, melasma, sun damage and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The treatment may be performed on both old, stubborn and new pigment deposits on clients of all ages and ethnicities. Cosmelan is particularly effective on melasma, a form of hormonally aggressed pigmentation. Melasma is most common in women and shows as bilateral patches of uneven skin tone particularly on the cheeks, forehead and upper lip. Cosmelan is also effective to treat brown post-acne marks. TREATMENT COST
The Pink Treatment is a 45 minute treatment with minimal downtime and costs $395.

Numbing cream is applied 45 mins prior to the procedure.

How much blood is extracted?
Two x 10 ml vials. Your serum is portioned and frozen ready for your next appointments and used to treat your areas of concern.
How do I prepare for the blood extraction?
Consume between two to four litres of water in the 24 hours prior. Reduce or avoid alcohol consumption the night before as this can dehydrate you and increase the risk of bruising. The more hydrated you are beforehand, the more serum produced
Is Factor4 mixed with anything else?
No. It is not diluted with any other liquid and is a truly autologous system (obtained from the same individual) making it completely natural and extremely rich in growth factors and cytokines, allowing for the creation of new collagen structures.
How much serum is needed to treat an area? Can more than 1 area be done in 1 visit?
The face is one area and the neck/chest can either be one or two areas depending on the surface area. A good guide is four treatments of 2.5mls = 10mls which is generally required for one area, however this can vary from patient to patient. It is best practice to only treat one area at a time.
How do I prepare for the treatment?
Simply arrive early to allow for a topical anaesthetic cream application to the treatment area.
Is it painful?
A topical anaesthetic cream is always used to ensure comfort
Are there any side effects?
Skin redness can persist for up to 24–48 hours and occasionally this may last two days. You may also experience mild bruising or swelling around your eyes and lips.
What is recommended after the treatment?
Please ensure you drink plenty of water and do not wash your skin for twelve hours. Moisturise your skin 3–5 times a day for 3–5 days. You may experience drier skin in the following days which is completely normal. Once the redness has completely dissipated, you can resume your normal skin care regime, however we suggest you check with your practitioner, should you have any questions or concerns.
Can I return to normal activities after a Factor4 treatment?
It is strongly recommended to limit exercise and sweating to avoid the possibility of swelling and bruising for twelve hours.
