Skin Concerns

Skin Concerns

Our Registered Nurses and Dermal Clinicians can treat a variety of skin concerns

Your initial appointment will include a thorough consultation to discuss your concerns, history of previous skin treatments and recent skin care regime. A treatment plan can then be formulated to help you achieve your desired result.

ROSACEA + REDNESS

Rosacea is a non-contagious skin inflammation that affects the face only. The small surface blood vessels (capillaries) of the skin enlarge, giving the appearance of a permanent flush usually across the nose, cheeks and forehead, affecting both men and women.

Laser Genesis and LED light therapy can be very helpful in reducing this facial redness. Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser that works to gently heat the upper layer of the skin. The laser stimulates collagen production and new skin cell growth to smooth fine wrinkles, reduce pore size, and close the tiny capillaries that cause the redness of Rosacea. Each patient’s condition and needs vary, but generally, a course of four to six treatments will be recommended for best results.

PIGMENTATION + AGE SPOTS

With the use of our medical grade laser equipment we are able to provide safe and effective treatment for all forms of skin pigmentation for both men and women.

It is common to experience irregular pigmentation on the skin, with freckles and other marks appearing from birth, but most patients that wish to have pigmentation removal have developed hyperpigmentation and melanin pigmentation through the years with sun and UV exposure. This can appear on the face and body, known as sun or age spots. Women can also develop pigmentation during pregnancy.

For pigmentation removal we utilise Cosmelan Peel + medical grade lasers, which includes Cutera’s Enlighten III and Limelight Lasers.

FINE LINES + WRINKLES

Fine lines are a concern for many of our clients. They are essentially expression lines that indicate what facial muscles we actively use throughout the day. We offer a number of services designed to treat the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Skincare and skin treatments play an important role in keeping the skin hydrated, nourished, protected and youthful.

With the use of anti-wrinkle injections performed by our Registered Nurses, these lines and wrinkles can be minimised.

Laserclears Clinical Director Grania Howard has over 20 years of experience as a Cosmetic Injector and is able to safely consult and construct a treatment plan that is right for you.

ELASTOSIS AND SAGGING SKIN

As we naturally age, the fibres and substances that make our skin youthful start to deteriorate, this is known as elastosis of the skin or sagging Whilst this is a natural process, external factors like your diet, smoking, alcohol consumption and most of all UV exposure can accelerate the skins aging process.

The use of Dermal Filler can address many concerns when looking at aesthetic and cosmetic treatments. The filler is composed of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan (GAG) in the human body, approximately 15%. Fillers can be used to enhance shape, volume, increase hydration and rejuvenate the skin.

HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) also known as non-surgical facial tightening is a non-invasive technology that allows us to treat not only the skin but the muscular layer beneath the skin of the face, known as the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), as well as reduce any stubborn or unwanted adipose (fat) tissue under the chin.

PHOTODAMAGED AND THICKENED SKIN

The UV exposure that we are subject to in Australia is higher than anywhere else in the world, with us leading the statistics with skin cancer deaths, melanomas and other sun-related traumas.

Treating photoaged skin can be achieved through several modalities here at Laserclear, all dependent on the client, medical history, skin health, lifestyle and commitment.

We utilise medical-grade lasers from Cutera, specifically the Enlighten III, offering Pico FX. As well as the Pearl and Pearl Fractional System that thermally ablates the skin from the surface to the dermis. These devices enable us to regenerate the skin, not only on a deep dermal level to stimulate collagen and elastin, but to retexturise and re balance the skin.

Treating this type of skin concern should be addressed with much care and expertise, which is why our Director Grania personally handles ALL Pearl Fractional resurfacing procedures to ensure the most desirable result. CONGESTED + ACNE SKIN

Whilst acne is a condition that mainly affects teenagers, in fact, eight out of ten people experience it at some point in their life, it can also persist into adulthood. Acne can be stimulated by many factors. Skin care, make up, lifestyle, hormones and diet can all contribute to the cause of active acne.

RED VEINS AND SPIDER VEINS

We treat a broad range of vessels from superficial tiny spider veins (telangiectasia), to deep vascular lesions on the face and legs.

For the treatment of these vessels we utilise

Cutera’s Nd: YAG.

This is a non invasive, fast and effective treatment which delivers light energy pulses, causing the blood within the vein to coagulate, and eventually destroying the vessel. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skins surface, where it should be. Most patients experience a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the skin. Results can take a few weeks to show. Significant improvement and the final result may take several months. The use of sunscreen is recommended for any areas exposed to the sun.
